1) Thought this semester, there has been many times in which I think i'm not going to hold more, that it's to difficult for me and that I needed to give up. Wether it was this class or the other there has been challenges this semester. In this class I've mostly learned that things must be handed on time. I have missed a couple of assignments because of the date, for example the cupcake which is at 12pm on Mondays was easy to miss when I first started this class. I also struggled with the URL submitting, sometimes things are not hard, but they demand responsibility, that's something I've learned in this class. Also in my marketing class, I've taken tree difficult exams and it has not been easy. The first exam I didn't do well, so I studied the most I could for the second and third and now i'm on the road to a better grade in both classes. 2) This failure taught me that I have to be patient and consistant in life, if I wouldn't have had patience when...

Hello, Juan!
ReplyDeleteYour story reminded me of a friend I had in high-school who had a similar journey. At my school, it is a tradition for the senior class to go on a cruise, which can obviously be very expensive. All year he sold candy bars and other sweets to raise the money for his ticket and he surely did. I always admired his tenacity and thought more people should be like that, and I see you have a similar mentality!
I believe you have a promising story but I would like to know more, as this is only a one sentence blog post. It would of been beneficial to know why you started selling candy, how long you did this, and a few personal anecdotes to truly make the story yours! If you ever need help or advice with this, feel free to let me know!
Hello Juan,
ReplyDeleteThis story reminds me of one of my close friends from middle school. Our middle school did not sell candy and other types of junk food, so my friend took advantage of this opportunity by starting his own little business at school and started selling candy. I believe that some people just naturally have an entrepreneur mindset, even at a young age.
Hello,
ReplyDeleteI think you have a very neat perspective on being introduced to entrepreneurship and sales. I actually had a similar experience happen during my middle school years. There was a small concession stand on campus that sold snacks, but it got shut down with the school. However, I admire how you took the initiative to takeover the business with your own style and twist.
Great job!
