19A – Idea Napkin No. 2
1. You
I'm a foreign student, studying business administration in the University of Florida, in my free time I produce music and play electronic music. In my first assignment, I explained how I learned many entrepreneur and service skills by working with my father in a telephone company in Ecuador. While Ecuador is a whole other country and the business game is different I learned a lot of the business environments aspects.
2. What are you offering to customers?
My customers will have the pleasure to treat with an excellent salesman. I've always cared about qualities. My role is not only to sell certain product, but to help the customer fullfil his unmet needs. The product wants to make people live in a less stressed traffic environment and relieve some of societies biggest stresses, (traffic accidents)
3. Who are you offering it to?
This product is destined for the taxpayers, because they are the ones putting the finds for public investment. This product must be funded by public investment. This product will have to come to the eyes of the legislators and the people in the government in charge of the money, so they can start developing new ideas to keep the streets more controlled with this new system.
4. Why do they care?
They care because city and street stress are stressing people out today more than ever, I believe that is an unmet need that the society needs to work together by perfectioning the streets system. There's a very valuable need that needs to be satisfied.
5. What are your core competencies?
My core competencies are to be a good seller, relate with the customer and have empathy for their needs. The ability to see an idea and and develop it is one of my benefits too.
The feedback from my last napkin was really positive, I checked some of the ideas and incorporated then here.

Juan,
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing a little bit about yourself with us. I like to hear what individuals are passionate about and like to do so I can get a feel for what kind of business leader he/she would be or become. I also liked how you brought up the point of being an "excellent salesman." In my opinion, sales is the most important piece to building a successful or meaningful company because you have to have the ability to make customers buy into your idea physically and mentally. Once customers believe and trust you, you will have an easier time getting their business.
Great job!
