14A – Halfway Reflection Submit Assignment

1)  Tenaciousness is a competency.  I've set up a shechdule, where I check for what assignment I have due for the week. I study from three to for hours and I take breaks. I encourage myself to to extremes that I've never gone before, wake up early and exercise to clear my mind. 2)  Tenaciousness is also about attitude. I go out form time to time to clear my mind a bit too. I try to keep a positive attitude towards my assignments instead of negative ones and that helps me finish my work faster. I try not to procrastinate my assignment in order to have time to do other stuff like hang out with friends. 3)  Three tips. 1. My biggest tip in this class would be to check all the assignment you have for the semester. To read the syllabus entirely and check every date.  2. Start reading the books early on the semester. I take o lot of time to read so I started reading Steve Jobs at the beggining of the semester. 3. Learn. Always keep in mind you are here to l...

13A – Reading Reflection No. 1 Steve Jobs

What surprised me the most about Steve Jobs is how he came back to his company when he was basically thrown away of his own company. When Steve sold most go his shares and went to Pixar, he made incredible movies in the Pixar studios and then came back to Apple to save it. He. made a master move which involved selling more share to Microsoft with boosted Apple confidence in the market and it's fluid of cash for investment. What I admire the most about Steve is that he was raised in an adoptive family. I think that as a kid is very hard to live with the fact that your biological parents gave you away. I think that many great people in life have been created through hardships. Hardships make people stronger, and I think that made Steve stronger in a sense that when he grew up he couldn't get hurt as much. What I least admired of Steve is that he was arrogant. In the book they mention that a lot of people view him as an arrogant person and difficult to work with. It saddens me...

12A – Figuring Out Buyer Behavior No. 1

The segment I choose for this post is parents: 1) Jorge Orbe: Jorge is a parent of five, I chose to interview him because I believe that parents are the ones that are most worried about someone the whole day. I also think that if this product is to be made by something that is making the parents uncomfortable, which is the safety of their children, and anyone is going to make something about is the people. 2) Carmita Sarmiento: Carmita is a grandmother of 12, she lost one of them in a car accident. The guy that killed her son was unconsidered enough to pass the red light and killing her son of 12. She would be someone that would go into the streets for more efforts to be put in order to stop driver from being unconsidered. 3) Patricia Roggiero: Patricia Roggiero is a cleaning made in Ecuador, my country. She let me make a 10 minute interview with her by facetime. We talked about unconsidered people in South American countries and how she knew many people that had been killed beca...

11A – Idea Napkin No. 1

1) My name is Juan Emilio Orbe, many people consider me a funny, happy person. I always like to give people the best of me and that means always trying to give my best to smile everyday. I think one of my biggest advantages is that I can easily connect with people from many cultures. I started studying business because I saw my dad working and I really liked the way he ran things and the way his work functioned. I started doing martial arts when I was 13. I'm a blue belt in Jui-juitsu and i've trained 4 years of kick boxing. I only did it as a hobby, I always saw business as my way here. as soon as i came out of high school i started working with my dad, I worked with him in a phone company an i really appreciated it. I think my ability to communicate and make effective relations will be a great tool in the business field and I want to learn much more! I think my product could be of great help to the hole society. 2) The product that I offer is called Streetsmart. This produc...

9A - Testing the Hypothesis, Part 2

1. Florencio Wilches. My interview with Florencio went pretty well. We discussed about Gainesville problems and we talked about the many accidents that occur every week in Gainesville. He's heard that there are more than 5 accidents a week and that a solution should be encountered. He feels that as a society, we could be doing more. 2. Jorge Quintana. My interview with Jorge was pretty interesting, he's one my best friends. He has a car a drives around Gainesville a lot, with Jorge I was able to see the students perspective on traffic. Sometimes Jorge thinks laws are to strict for him, he thinks that the government should be more soft with respect to tickets. Sometimes he thinks that officer are to strict with him, and that direct interaction could be avoided. 3. Andres Suarez. I really enjoyed interviewing Andres. He has great ideas about how traffic should be developed in the times to come. I presented my idea to him, we spoke about car and street connections, and how tha...

Solving the problem

1. Selected Opportunity: Many people have trouble when driving or walking the streets because of irresponsible drivers. The opportunity I chose was to improve the way traffic regulations work, it can be dangerous. While officers do help a lot, it's still a mayor problem because some people don't respect. 2. Product/Service: 1. Intelligent streets: My first idea would be intelligent streets with are connected with the cars. So the idea is that when someone is committing a fraction, for example going into a street with says do not enter, or making a U-turn where you shouldn't, a sensor will know that you are committing a fraction and it will inmedeatly put a fine into your account. These will help that people don't commit fractions. These device will help out to people that are walking in the streets and people that don't know how to drive well.

Testing Hypothesis - Part 1

The opportunity that I would like to pursue, would be streets with intelligent signs, and with alarms that would tell people when they’re doing something wrong, and directly hit them with the fine. People on the street, know that they're committing an infraction, but they don't really care, because they know there's a great chance that they won't be fined. If someone would find a way to make that stop it would be awesome.  The Who : Everyone who drives. The What: Policeman unable to fine every person for their fractions driving. The why: Policeman do help a lot so people do not commit infractions, but they can't have eyes everywhere all the time. People are also irresponsible and think they can get away with it. 3. Hypothesis: Considering that a lot of traffic accidents occur because people do not follow rules, and the amount of people that die because of it, a new idea that keeps the people in order would considerably save many lives. 4. Inter...
